About Orange County

In south California, It have a large population and many sightseeing spots. One hour from L.A. by car. And it is familiar with Skateboarding, Surfing and Punk rock culture. Anaheim in Orange County where Anaheim Factory collection of VANS focused on Classic model theirs products.

Surfing history is taraditioal too. George Freeth who has been credited as being the Father if modern surfing. The history from he demonstrated riding-wave at Huntington Beach in 1907. To 60’s from 50’s, Big surfing competition was hold at Huntington Beach because surfing was famous sports for citizen. Orange County changed one of the best important surf city. Corky Carroll who is the first professional surfer in all over the world and legend of local said “Orange County is the center of surf culture, Huntington Beach is the heart.”

And very famous punk band Off spring, nodoubt are born Orange County.

CYCLE ZOMBIES（サイクルゾンビーズ）とは

カリフォルニアオレンジカウンティーから生まれたサーフィン、スケボーそしてカスタムバイクにまたがって日々を過ごすスコッティ・ストップニック（写真右から2番目）を始めとするメンバー（彼らはファミリーと呼んでいる）のライフスタイルをウェアに落とし込んだブランドです。

オレンジカウンティー=オレンジ郡のバックグラウンド

カリフォルニアの南部、ロスから車で一時間の所にある人口の多い観光スポット。スケート、サーフィン、パンクバンドなどの、カルチャーには精通している土地です。Vansのクラシックモデルにフォーカスしたアナハイムファクトリーコレクションでお馴染みのアナハイムもオレンジカウンティー。

サーフィンの歴史も深く1907年に近代サーフィンの父と呼ばれているジョージ・フリースがハンティントン・ビーチピアで波乗りを普及させた事に遡ります。1950〜60年代に入り本格的なサーフィン人気の高まりから主要イベントの開催会場となり、アメリカ本土で最も重要なサーフシティーとして成長していきます。地元出身のレジェンド、世界初のプロサーファー、コーキー・キャロルは「オレンジカウンティは、サーフィン界の文化的中心地であり、ハンティントン・ビーチはハート部分だ」と言いました。

音楽ではオフスプリングやノー・ダウトはオレンジカウンティー出身のパンクバンドです。
