OPP shirts

What’s going on?

The number of warm days is increasing, but the news of the war is reported in the world, and there are people who express anger and sadness on SNS, and there are people who feel completely indifferent, so I struggle every day with what I can do. I'm the editor-in-chief of the style blog Tawamure.

The Grandpa shirt I got as a base for NEOLD just about a year ago. The age is not so old and it seems to be about 70-80's, but I was attracted to the fact that stripes are rare among many check flannel materials and that it looks like a prisoner and is cool.

The Grandpa shirt has the same front body as a normal shirt and has a long back view, but I wanted it to be visible from the front when layered, so I used various denim fabrics because I wanted to give it a tough impression. And add length. Use one American bandana on your back as it is for a shirt that has an impact.

In the first place, prisoners are uniforms worn by criminals in prison, so I don't want to wear them if possible, but in the sky of the show shank, on the cuckoo's nest, movies such as Down by Law, Michael Jackson's They I have to feel some tough coolness influenced by the MV of don't care about us.

All the reconstructions (reconstructions) of used clothing that I make are one-of-a-kind items that are made by considering the design one by one. I wanted to give a name to such one and only clothes, and I squeezed out various things from myself in the past, which is written in the prisoner's clothes that I wore in the movie Down by Law directed by Jim Jarmusch. I took the acronym of PRISON and made it an OPP shirt. It's the glue of CPO. When I actually watched a movie at a state prison in New Orleans, I was thinking of using it someday.

How was the shirt made with the theme of prison uniform this time with a sense of playfulness?

大分暖かい日が増えてきていますが、世の中は戦争のニュースが報道されSNSでは怒り・悲しみを表現する方がいたり全くの無関心にも感じられる方もいる中、自分に何が出来るかなと日々葛藤しているスタイルブログ戯の編集長です。

丁度1年くらい前にNEOLDのベースとして手に入れたグランパシャツ。年代はそこまで古くなく70-80'sくらいの物と思われますが、チェックのネル素材が多い中でストライプが珍しいなと言うことと、なんか囚人みたいでカッコいいところに惹かれました。

グランパシャツは前身頃は普通のシャツと同じくらいで、後ろ見頃が長いのが特徴ですが、レイヤードしたときに前からも見えて欲しいのと、タフな印象にしたかったのでさまざまなデニム生地を使用して丈を追加。背中にアメリカ製のバンダナを1枚そのまま使用してインパクトがあるシャツに。

そもそも囚人は犯罪を犯した人が刑務所で着るユニフォームなので出来れば着たくない服ですがショーシャンクの空にとかカッコウの巣の上でとかダウン・バイ・ローなどの映画だったり、マイケル・ジャクソンのThey don't care about usのMVに影響されてなんかタフなカッコ良さを感じざるを得ない訳です。

自分が作っている古着のリコンストラクション（再構築）は全て１枚ずつデザインを考えて作る１点もの。そんな唯一無二の洋服に名前を付けたくて色々と過去の自分から絞り出したのがジム・ジャームッシュ監督の映画ダウン・バイ・ローで着ていた囚人服にすてんしるで書かれているOLREANS PARISH PRISONの頭文字を取ってOPPシャツとしたました。CPOのノリですね。実際にニューオリンズにある州立刑務所で映画を見たときにいつかこれ使おうと思っていたのがここで繋がりました。
