Kobe Tribute Jersey

In this case, I was into alter 70's half zipper that I wrote at previous article.

The product was deep mind into tomorrow by taking lessons from the past. 

I used material by taking from Euro work jacket. Especially, I was perticular about both arm's numbering. I thought about how to enter number 8 and 24 so I decided to embroider like a hand paint.

The numbering that not used gossic type hand paint with shadow was my favorite point.

Why did I choose 8 and 24?

It's the number of Kobe who is the regend NBA player.

I want to do somthing for his died by accident helicopter because I was into basketball team at mid high scool and high school and I used kobe's model kicks at high school.

We don't forget him due to see the embroidering. When people said "Why the design is number 8 and 24? " I talk about the story. And I'll talk about him with people who don't have an interest basketball.

I'm looking forward to play basketball waering the cloth and take picture.

前回紹介した70'sのハーフジップのジャージを改造。

温故知新のマインド濃い目の１品になりました。

リメイクのディテール、特にマイノリティー多めで解説します。

サイズアップの素材はデッドストックのユーロワークジャケットを解体して使用。今回特にこだわったのは両腕に入れた8,24のナンバリング。このナンバリングをどうやって入れるか悩んだ末、手書きをベースに刺繍することにしました。フォントはユニフォームに使うようなゴシック体の物ではなく、シャドウつきの手書きレタリングが狙い過ぎず、ダサさもあって良い感じというのは手前味噌。。。

今回特にこだわったのがこのナンバリング。

両腕の8,24は意味があって、NBAのレジェンド　コービーブライアントの背番号です。

中高バスケ部だった自分にとってジョーダンからコービー・シャックの時代への移り変わりはリアルタイムで体験していたし、高２のバッシュはコービーモデルだったので何かをしたかった。

こうして服に刺繍を入れることで『この数字の意味って何？』という会話のたびにコービーの話ができてバスケに興味が無い人とも共感できたら最高だなっていう意味が込められてます。

そういう意味では元々のデザインではなく、後からハンドメイドで入れた感じもリアルで良いでしょ？

安心してバスケが出来るようになったらこれを着てバスケして写真撮りたいです。
